Leif and Randy's "Physician Mergers" Audioconference Available on CD

Leif Beck and Randy Bauman presented a 60-minute audio conference titled "Physician Mergers -- Strategies for Evaluating Opportunities and Avoiding the Pitfalls" live on September 8. If you missed it, you can still gain the valuable insights presented with the purchase of a CD or tape.

The program debunked many merger myths and advised on how to choose an appropriate partner. They shared real-life examples of mergers that worked and ones that didn't. Use this program to identify red flags and also to know how to move forward and develop a successful business plan.

This was an HCPro audioconference sponsored by Group Practice Solutions newsletter. A full outline of the content is published on their Web site at www.hcmarketplace.com/Prod.cfm?id=3605.

Leif Beck, J.D., CHBC, Affiliates with Delta Health Care

Brentwood, Tenn., August 9, 2004 -- Leif C. Beck, J.D., CHBC, founding publisher and editor of Advisory Publications, is now a consulting member of the Delta Health Care team. Beck is a nationally recognized expert on successful physician business practice and planning with more than 30 years of consulting experience. Until last year, he had focused on putting that expertise into Advisory Publication’s subscription newsletters (including Group Practice Solutions), books and healthcare reports. He now actively participates in the consulting services offered by Delta Health Care, which the company sums up as "the business of physician practice."

"Leif serves as an independent thinker who sees, expresses and advises by the ‘big picture’ for long-term success," said Randy Bauman, president of Delta Health Care. "He has depth of knowledge in every best-practice service Delta Health Care provides, from physician-compensation issues to facilitation of strategic planning retreats."

"Producing newsletters, books and reports on today’s changing and challenging health care environment allowed me to keep abreast of issues and solutions on a national scale not usually available to any one consultant," said Beck. "Putting all of that knowledge to practical use on person-to-person or group-practice basis is what I find most exciting. I had interviewed Randy as an expert source for articles numerous times over the years and also tapped his skills to lead some of my seminar workshops. So I feel both comfortable and energized by our new working relationship."

Beck has been a health care management, business, leadership and legal advisor. He founded and led the consulting firms of The Health Care Group, Inc., and Health Care Law Associates, P.C. He was managing partner at the law firm of Pepper, Hamilton and Scheetz prior to opening his own firms.

He is a graduate of the Duke University School of Law and received his bachelor of arts degree from Duke University. Early in his career, he instructed at both Duke University (school of economics) and Wharton School of Commerce and Finance. He has served on the boards of various schools and organizations providing outreach and services to inner city children.
